The construction of the flat guide hole of the West Tianshan Extra-Long Tunnel of Zhaowen Highway in G219 Line completed the 5,000-meter construction task four months ahead of schedule. Behind it, the TBM hard rock boring machine, independently developed and produced by my country, has set many world's best in the same level, type and type.
TBM hard rock boring machine is a giant excavator machine with a length of 235 meters and a weight of 1,800 tons. It will be offline in Changshu, Jiangsu at the end of April 2024. The components were split into hundreds of thousands of units and transported by nearly 100 transport vehicles to the construction site of the special long tunnel of the West Tianshan on Zhaowen Highway. After nearly three months of installation and commissioning, it was officially excavated in July 2024. It is like a huge drill bit, with a total of 61 huge blades, the heaviest one is more than 400 kilograms, and the lightest one is more than 300 kilograms. The drill bit extends into the hard mountain, and while drilling, it transports slag and stone outwards through special tracks. Not only does it improve construction efficiency, but it also protects the ecological environment to the greatest extent. The traditional "drilling and blasting method" construction can only be promoted more than one kilometer in one year, and the effectiveness of this TBM is three to five times that of the "drilling and blasting method", and has successively set a world record of 45.7 meters of footprint per day and 821 meters of monthly excavation.
While the tunnel excavation, the construction personnel also carried out "Research on the complete set of key technologies for TBM construction in complex environments", among which the "Key Technologies for the Construction of Ultra-Long Deep-Buried Highway Tunnels Crossing Glacier Ecological Protection Area" and other research projects will provide strong technical support for similar construction projects in the future, and use scientific and technological innovation to create more "China Construction" miracles.
