During the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the majority of CPPCC members, the participating units of the CPPCC and the special committees of the CPPCC were guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the meeting celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, actively submitted proposals, and contributed to promoting Chinese-style modernization, further comprehensively deepening reform, promoting high-quality development, and maintaining social harmony and stability.

As of 20:00 on March 5, a total of 5,890 proposals have been received. In accordance with the "Regulations on the Proposal Work of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference" and the detailed rules for the review of proposals, after review, 5,002 cases were filed and 262 cases were converted into 626 opinions and suggestions.

Among the proposals filed, 4,531 members proposed, accounting for 90.6%; 471 collective proposals, accounting for 9.4%. Among them, there were 2,133 proposals on economic construction, accounting for 42.6%; 419 proposals on political construction, accounting for 8.4%; 459 proposals on cultural construction, accounting for 9.2%; 1,387 proposals on social construction, accounting for 27.7%; 604 proposals on ecological civilization construction, accounting for 12.1%.

The proposals at this meeting have the following characteristics: First, adhere to the correct political direction. With a highly responsible political responsibility and a serious and scientific attitude, the members insisted on focusing on the center and serving the overall situation, and made practical suggestions to promote the successful conclusion of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and scientifically plan the "15th Five-Year Plan". Second, the quality has been further improved. The members adhere to the principle that proposals are not about multiple but precise, highlight professional strengths, conduct in-depth investigations and research, and the proposal suggestions are more forward-looking, targeted and operational. Third, sector characteristics are further reflected. All participating units of the CPPCC, the CPPCC special committees, sectors and committee members focus on giving full play to the characteristics and advantages of sectors, and put forward collective proposals on the basis of extensive and in-depth consultation. Fourth, the role of centralization is further exerted. Through proposals, the members fully play the role of the CPPCC as a special consultative body, practice the important requirements for comprehensively developing consultative democracy, and take responsibility and responsibility to perform their duties and responsibilities, strengthen their confidence in development, and gather strength to forge ahead.

After the conference is closed, the proposal will be submitted to the organizer for processing. Proposals received after the deadline for proposals at this conference shall be reviewed and processed in a timely manner as daily proposals.
