CCTV News: China Federation of Logistics and Procurement announced the January China Warehousing Index today (February 10). Driven by the growth of holiday consumption demand, warehousing demand has maintained rapid growth, commodity turnover speed continues to increase, enterprises are actively preparing stocks and restocking, and the industry continues to develop positively.

In January, China's warehousing index was 52.5%, up 1.9 percentage points from the previous month, reaching a new high in the past 10 months. From the perspective of sub-index, the new order index, the end-of-term inventory index, the average inventory turnover index, and the business activity expectation index have all increased compared with the previous month. Among them, the new order index was 51.9%, up 3.9 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the demand for warehousing business maintained rapid growth, business activities were very active, and the overall industry continued to recover and improve.

By variety, the commodity market is facing the influence of seasonal factors, and demand has weakened, but the weakening is small, and the overall remains basically stable. Driven by expectations of the peak season of holiday consumption and incentives for the "old for new" policy, the demand for warehousing of consumer goods remains strong, and new orders are growing rapidly. Correspondingly, the utilization rate of warehousing facilities has also remained at a high level.

Judging from the later trend, the expected index of business activity in January was 51.9%, up 3.9 percentage points from the previous month, returning to the expansion range. As various places resume work and production one after the Spring Festival, various policies to stabilize the economy and promote growth continue to be implemented and effective, it is expected that the warehousing industry will continue to maintain a stable and positive operation.
