At present, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Information and Communications Commission have jointly started the construction of computing power Internet.

The reporter saw that on the verification platform, not only can the computing power card types and quantities of each computing power resource be checked, but the corresponding computing power services can also be found and matched according to specific needs. Experts told reporters that in order to centrally allocate scattered computing resources, each computing resource must be identified on the network like issuing an ID card, so that you can code according to the computing power identification and quickly find the most suitable computing power resources and transmission paths.

Wang Zhiqin, deputy director of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, said that the resource identification of 499 computing resource pools of 131 enterprises has been completed, gathering intelligent computing resources for 111.3 billion floating-point operations per second. Applications such as artificial intelligence, game rendering can match the best computing power nearby.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that it will accelerate the construction of a computing power infrastructure standard system, strengthen the construction of computing power interconnection, computing power platforms and other standards. At this World Telecommunications and Information Society Day commemoration event, the China Institute of Information and Communications, in conjunction with telecommunications operators, equipment manufacturing companies, Internet companies and other industrial partners, jointly launched the "Metropolitan millisecond calculation" campaign.

"Urban millisecond computing" refers to the construction of high-speed, large-capacity, low-latency, and wide-coverage metropolitan network infrastructure to achieve the access time of computing power center and computing power resources within 1 milliseconds, and the computing power application service time is in the order of 10 milliseconds.

Zhang Haiyi, director of the Institute of Technology and Standards of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, said that promoting the "metro millisecond calculation" action will focus on strengthening the empowerment of new industrial innovative applications and expanding scenario applications such as AI+industrial quality inspection and industrial simulation design. At the same time, typical application scenarios such as AI video monitoring and AI assisted teaching are explored for industries such as finance, transportation, education, and medical care.
