CCTV News: A relevant person in charge of the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement introduced at the 2025 Logistics Technology Conference on February 27 that low-altitude logistics, as one of the important application scenarios of the low-altitude economy, is reshaping the logistics and transportation pattern through advanced technologies such as drones. In the future, the promotion of the low-altitude logistics model will become an important driving force for reducing logistics costs in the whole society and promoting high-quality development of the logistics industry.

According to statistics from the Air Logistics Branch of the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement, in 2024, more than 140 new low-altitude logistics routes were opened in my country. At present, the city’s opening of low-altitude logistics routes mainly focuses on terminal routes. The proportion of intra-city routes reaches 90% of the total number of newly opened routes, while cross-provincial and municipal routes account for only 10%. More than 20 express and takeaway transportation routes have been opened in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and other cities, for express terminal delivery and instant consumer goods such as retail, catering, and medical items, providing consumers with more convenient services.

The relevant person in charge of the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement introduced that low-altitude logistics, as one of the most widely used scenarios in the current low-altitude economic commercial application, has nurtured a broad market space. It is estimated that by 2035, my country's drone logistics output value is expected to exceed one trillion yuan, and the application market of drones in the logistics industry will grow at a rate of 20% per year.
