CCTV News: Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration of Taxation and the National Energy Administration issued a notice on adjusting the tax policy for importing major technical equipment.

The notice pointed out that the "Catalogue of Major Technical Equipment and Products Supported by the State (2025 Edition)", "Catalogue of Key Components and Raw Materials Imported by Major Technical Equipment and Products (2025 Edition)" and "Catalogue of Major Technical Equipment and Products Imported Not Tax-free (2025 Edition)" will be implemented from March 1, 2025.

For projects and enterprises that have been approved before February 28, 2025 (including February 28) in accordance with or in accordance with the provisions of the "Notice of the State Council on Adjusting the Tax Policy for Imported Equipment" (Guofa [1997] No. 37), import equipment before August 31, 2025 (including August 31), continue to be implemented in accordance with the "Notice of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration of Taxation and the State Energy Administration on Adjusting the Tax Policy for Importing Major Technical Equipment" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Lianhe [2021] No. 198) and the "Announcement of the Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Administration of Taxation on Adjusting the "Catalogue of Imported Commodities Not Exempted by Domestic Investment Projects" (No. 83 of 2012).

For international exhibitions under the tax preferential policies for imported exhibits sold during the exhibition period before February 28, 2025 (including February 28), the China International Import Expo, China International Service Trade Fair and the international exhibitions in the central and western regions, the imported exhibits sold during the exhibition period will continue to be implemented in accordance with Document No. 198 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Union Recycling [2021]; if held after March 1, 2025, the implementation shall be carried out in accordance with this notice.
