CCTV News (News Broadcast): After the landslide in Yunlian County, Yibin City, Sichuan, fire rescue personnel formed a party member commando to go to the dangerous situation, rushed to the scene to rescue, racing against time to search for the missing persons; grassroots party members and cadres in the disaster area charged forward, carefully resettled the affected people, and protected the affected people with warmth.
This is a thrilling scene during the on-site search. Instructor Xu Hua was leading 10 firefighters to search and rescue in the core area of the landslide. A landslide appeared again at the scene, and stones rolled down one after another.
This kind of danger occurs from time to time during the search. In order to ensure the safety of search and rescue operations, the on-site command center divided the rescue area into 12 grids, each grid not only had search personnel, but also had security officers for observation and early warning. Whenever the danger signal is released, Xu Hua and his teammates will immediately return to the scene to speed up the search and rescue. In the race against time, in addition to relying on search and rescue dogs and life detectors, Xu Hua and his team members often had to carry stones with bare hands to search carefully.
The team led by Xu Hua has 19 people, all experienced rescue vanguards, and more than half are Communists. After the landslide, they arrived at the scene as soon as possible and launched a hard rescue in a rainy and muddy scene. As one of the earliest rescue forces to arrive, from the 8th to the present, they have worked for more than 12 hours a day and have completed the search for the 9,200 square meters area.
While the search and rescue work is in full swing, the resettlement of the affected people is also continuing to promote. At the resettlement site of Yunlian No. 2 Middle School in Muai Town, Zheng Qin, secretary of the Party Branch from Shilin Village, volunteered to take care of the daily life of the affected people. These days, she has been busy registering supplies with volunteers and preparing three meals a day to solve the urgent needs of the affected people.
The diapers and milk powder needed for this 10-month-old baby in the resettlement site were in short supply. It was already night. Zheng Qin and volunteers immediately went around to find and buy them, but even after finding many stores, they had closed. Early the next morning, Zheng Qin waited until the store opened and finally bought milk powder and diapers for the child. The baby lay safely in his grandmother's arms and drank milk powder.
