CCTV News: According to China Weather Network, on February 10, a cold air began to affect my country, and Xinjiang region took the lead in ushering in a cooling drop. Today and tomorrow, it will continue to move eastward and south to affect the central and eastern regions. On the Lantern Festival (February 12), many places in the north will usher in the coldest day of this week, and the south will also gradually cool down. The temperature will fluctuate, and the public needs to increase and decrease clothes in time to reduce the risk of colds. At the same time, precipitation in the central and eastern regions has increased, and some areas are mixed with rain and snow, so traffic safety needs to be paid attention to.
Cold air continues to exert its power and affects the central and eastern regions. Many northern regions will welcome the coldest day of this week on the 12th.
Yesterday, most parts of my country continued to recover, and the chill was much less than in the previous few days. But at the same time, a new stream of cold air has begun to sneak into our country, and many places in Xinjiang are the first to cool down.
It is expected that today and tomorrow, this cold air will continue to move eastward and south to affect the central and eastern regions. There will be northerly winds of level 4 to 6 levels in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and its north. The temperature in the central and eastern regions will drop by 4 to 6℃, and some areas will be 8℃, with a local cooling amplitude of about 10℃.
The warming process in the north will be interrupted by cold air today, and the coldest day of the week will be held in all parts of the week on the 12th. However, the temperature in many places in the south will continue to rise today, with the highest temperature generally reaching above 15℃, and in many places in central and southern Jiangnan and southern China may exceed 20℃. From the 12th to the 13th, the temperature in the south will also drop one after another. For example, the highest temperature in Changsha can reach 18℃ today, and it will drop to only 7℃ on the 12th.
Overall, the temperature in most parts of my country has fluctuated this week. The temperature in the north will first drop and then rise, and will usher in a big rebound around the weekend; the temperature in the south will rise first and then fall, and due to the influence of cloudy and rain, the temperature will rise slowly. The public should pay close attention to temperature changes, add and reduce clothes in time, and beware of colds.
The development of precipitation in the central and eastern regions increases, and rain and snow are mixed in some areas such as the Huanghuai region. Today and tomorrow, as the cold air moves southward and meets warm and humid airflows, precipitation in the central and eastern regions will increase, and rain and snow are mixed in some areas such as North China, Huanghuai region and other regions. Because the cold air moves rapidly, the overall water vapor conditions are average, and the overall precipitation is not large.

The rain and snow in the north do not last long, but after the process in the south, due to the active southern branch trough, the rainy weather in many places will continue. On the Lantern Festival, heavy rain will occur in some areas in Guangdong, Fujian and Taiwan. The public should bring rain gear when going out, beware of the adverse effects of slippery roads and reduced visibility on traffic.
