CCTV News: The State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standards Committee) recently approved the issuance of the national standard "Guidelines for the Aging Design of Home Products", which will be officially implemented on September 1 this year.
The core of the design of home products for aging is "people-oriented", respecting the living habits, mentality characteristics and personalized needs of the elderly. The aging-friendly design principles of home products include safety, ease of use, comfort and sustainability to ensure that the elderly live a safe and comfortable life.
The National Standards for the "Guidelines for Aging in Home Products" propose standards for safety in terms of sensory, health, voice interaction, cognition, etc. to ensure the safety of the elderly. For example, visual requirements: safety warnings are easy to detect, the interface design is simple, and the font, color, brightness, etc. meet the needs of the elderly. Auditory requirements: timely abnormal prompts, sensitive operation feedback, low noise, and adjustable volume. Tactile: The edges and corners are smooth, the anti-slip performance is good, and the control parts are easy to identify.
At the same time, in view of the sensory functions of the elderly, the product functions and operations are adjusted and optimized, the operation process is simplified, the difficulty of use is reduced, and the elderly are avoided misoperation. Home products are encouraged to integrate intelligent functions such as remote monitoring, health monitoring, and emergency calls to provide the elderly with a more convenient life experience.
