At the Ministry of Commerce’s regular press conference held on March 13, the spokesperson said that this year, the Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments to carry out the 2025 "Chinese Food Festival" event, with the theme of "Enjoy Chinese Food and Create a Better Life Together", and launch more than 120 special catering consumption promotion activities to guide local governments to create a catering consumption activity matrix and cultivate new hot spots for catering consumption in combination with traditional festivals, peak consumption seasons, movie prime time, large-scale events and cultural and sports activities.

Data from the Ministry of Commerce shows that by the end of 2024, the growth rate of retail sales of rural consumer goods will be higher than that of urban areas for 36 consecutive months.
